IndiGo starts non-stop India–Greece flights, linking Mumbai and Delhi directly to Athens

IndiGo has become the first Indian airline to operate non-stop direct flights between India and Greece, introducing scheduled services to Athens from Mumbai and Delhi. The airline said operations began in January 2026 using Airbus A321XLR aircraft, offering Indian travellers a direct option instead of transiting via Middle Eastern or other European hubs.

Routes, start dates and frequency

According to the report, the Mumbai–Athens direct service began on January 23, 2026, followed by the Delhi–Athens flight on January 24, 2026. Both routes connect India’s two major international gateways—Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport—to Athens International Airport (ATH). The flights operate three times a week.
